Q-C martial artist wins medals in Mexico

John Morrow, owner of Morrow's Academy of Martial Arts in Moline, recently won a gold and a bronze medal at the three-day Caribbean Martial Arts Classic in Cancun, Mexico, in January, 2004. The international competition drew martial artists from around the world, including the United States, Mexico, Canada and Great Britain. Mr. Morrow of Bettendorf placed first in weapons forms and third in empty-handed forms in the 40-and-older division. He lost a sparring match 3-2 to David Lancaster of Darlington, England, who went on to win the gold and grand champion medals.
