Morrow's Academy of Martial Arts
Learn American Shao-Lin Chuan Kung-Fu and Self-Defense in a Positive and Fun Environment!
John Morrow's martial arts journey began with the study of Judo in 1966. In 1972, he earned his black belt in Shao-Lin Chuan Kung Fu and he currently holds the rank of Master in this style.
Mr. Morrow is a tournament champion and has trained many tournament champions throughout the years. He also held a Guinness Book of World Records title in push-ups. He is a philanthropist, involved in raising funds for local charities, especially those that help children.
Mr. Morrow is certified by the state of Iowa in Aikido and has conducted numerous personal safety seminars for state employees. He is highly sought after as a guest lecturer at schools, camps, churches, and offices throughout the Quad Cities. Mr. Morrow has been recommended by the Bettendorf Police Department for self defense training and he is currently serving as an adjunct professor of Kinesiology at Saint Ambrose University.
You will enjoy learning the differences in self-defense styles of the Leopard, Snake, Dragon, Tiger and Crane -- the five animals of Kung-Fu. The essence of each animal is found in the blocks, punches, kicks, sweeps, throws, joint locks, and weapons defenses in our system of martial arts.
