Help Me on May 5 to Raise Support for Families of Children Who Need Organ Transplants

On Friday, May 5, 2023, I'm holding a fundraiser for the Children's Organ Transplant Association, known as COTA.

One of my students has an 18-year-old son who needed a lung transplant to save his life. He received it, and COTA helps families with expenses when their children need transplants. It is a wonderful cause.

On May 5 -- a week from today as this is written -- I will do 1,000 push-ups, 1,000 sit-ups and 1,000 leg-lifts in one hour.

I am 71 years old and have been recovering during the past two years from being hit by a car. But a good cause is a good cause, and I hope you'll join me. May 5 is also the anniversary of when I joined the Guiness Book of World Records for the most push-ups on the back of my hands in 2006.

I hope you'll join me for pizza, donated by Happy Joe's, ice cream donated by Whitey's, and join me or cheer me on at the event which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 5th at the Moline Township Center, located at 19th Street and 6th Avenue in Moline.

If you can bring a donation of any amount that would be most appreciated. You can also send donations, checks made out to "COTA," to Morrow's Academy of Martial Arts, 1319 5th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265.

If you have any questions, please call us at 309-764-1929. I hope to see you on May 5th and help the families of children who have to go through a difficult ordeal. We can help make their young lives, and the lives of their families, a little bit easier. Thank you.
